WALK FOR FREEDOM:
105KM MARCH FOR ZIMBABWE
Brighton to London | 9–10 August 2025
This is not a celebration. This is a confrontation.
On the 9th and 10th of August 2025, as Zimbabwe marks Heroes Day, we will walk 105 kilometers from Brighton to London — not in honour of a regime, but in resistance to its violence. We walk because Zimbabwe is bleeding.
We walk because millions are voiceless.
We walk because the heroes of Zimbabwe are no longer found in government buildings — they are in graves, in exile, in prisons, in poverty.
The ZANU-PF regime has hijacked our independence and weaponised it against its people. For decades, we’ve witnessed:
- Abductions in the dead of night
- Torture in unmarked cells
- Silencing of dissent with brutality
- Corruption that chokes our economy
- Elections stolen before they begin
While the World looks away, we say: ENOUGH.
This 105km journey is a spiritual and political march — across cities and countrysides, through pain and exhaustion — fuelled by love for a country we refuse to abandon. We are the diaspora that will not forget. We are the children of Zimbabwe — rising in exile, but rooted in justice. With every step we take, we remember those who cannot walk with us because they are:
- Missing.
- Murdered.
- Muzzled.
- Broken by a system that was meant to free them.
This walk is not only about grief — it is also about hope. It is a declaration that the spirit of Chimurenga lives on — not in the hands of tyrants, but in the hearts of the people.
To the world:
- We urge you to stand with us.
- Speak with us.
- Walk with us.
Do not let another generation of Zimbabweans be sacrificed to silence. To Zimbabweans at home: We walk for you. We see you.
We will not stop until freedom, dignity, and justice are restored in the land of our birth.
This is a call to action. A march against forgetting. A stand for the Zimbabwe we deserve.
